This is a contemporary version of short spears that have been used through out history and continients. From the Hasta (Greek) and Pilum (Roman) to the Assegai (African).
The Blade and guard are made of forged cable damascus. The hand crafted wood shaft is made from African blackwood ( Mozambique ebony) with the two-tone colors using heartwood and sapwood. End cap is fossil walrus ivory.
The Stand is made from "Cloud Maple Burl"
The hooks are Vera wood.
The base is yew wood, a wood rich in history Native American bows & shafts, to English Long bows, to it's bark used in helping to fight cancer ( Taxol) supporting all, is bloodwood.
